![]() I have read and followed a number of posts on this forum, also without success. I, as a test, disabled by anti-virus and tried to run the discs without any success. I have added the VideoLan folder in 'ProgramFiles' to the allowed folders in the Windows Firewall settings. I have done a search on the internet for solutions. The Ghostwhisperer Season 1 discs that played a few years ago now refuse to play. The six discs from Hawaii Five-O Season 7, The Librarians Season 4 four discs refuse to play. Discs 2 to 6 ran after a fair amount of inserts and ejects. this last week I have been trying to watch Hawaii Five-) Season 6. ![]() After a number of reboots and insert and ejects some of the discs are finally read and play. Since the problem started it has been getting progressively worse. Up until around March of this year I never had an issue watching DVD movies or tv shows. I do not watch movies and tv shows online as I have a limited monthly cap. I buy a lot of movie and tv series DVDs to watch. If I insert an audio CD into either drive the disc spins up and the CD's name/title shows in My Computer next to the respective drive and immediately plays. The DVD's name and title does not show in My Computer next to the drive letter of respective drive. ![]() It sounds as though the read/write head is hunting. When I insert a DVD movie or TV disc into either of my DVD rewriters in my PC the disc runs at diffiernt speeds for a while then stops. I have a rather odd problem playing most of my DVDs in VLC player. ![]()
